The Pétanque Paintings are the record of a series of petanque games on the beach. Using painting as an intermediary between us and the game, these more than being intentional gestures as an end in itself, they are simply the accidental registration of petanque balls.
Looking for ways to collaborate in the medium of painting, petanque is almost as an excuse, where the gestures (and shots) of each one are lost in the homogeneity of the color of the painting, putting all the players in "the same channel” and therefore, an attempt to de-hierarchize the participants.
This series of paintings proposes dynamics of collaboration, connection and ways in which play, accident, leisure and everyday life are mixed.
